Installer Level I - (5 Days)

Entry level into the telecommunications cabling industry. The course is designed for individuals with little or no cabling experience. This intensive five-day course is designed to provide cabling installers with the background, basic skills, and knowledge needed to function effectively on the job. The curriculum includes lecture, reviews, and hands-on lab exercises. At the completion of the course the students will be expected to correctly demonstrate their acquired skills through the BICSI generated hands-on exam, and a written exam.

Course Materials:
Students will be provided with course workbook, notepads, and highlighters. The BICSI Telecommunications Cabling Installation Manual will be available to sign out for study purposes. The manual will not be used in class, but is a great study tool for the written exam. The manual is also available to be purchased from BICSI at www.BICSI.org.

Prerequisites:
Eighth grade math and reading skills are required.

Credits:
30 RCDD hours
